Step Out of Your Comfort Zone – Into a World of Opportunity
Beyond the experiences students have on campus and in the Greater New Haven community, the University of New Haven offers two distinctive opportunities that enable students to live and learn outside of Connecticut.
The University of New Haven has a satellite campus in Tuscany, Italy, located in the cradle of the Renaissance. Spending a semester here is a great way to immerse yourself in a new culture and to invigorate your creative spirit.
“Everything from the trips around Tuscany and the extracurricular activities to the Italian culture and the classes we could take were simply amazing,” said Chelsea Tambis ’18, a communication major who later directed a film that was screened at the Cannes Film Festival. “I cannot be more proud of the University whenever I tell my family and friends that my university has a campus in Italy.”
The University has established an affiliation with Blackbird Studio, one of the top recording companies in the world, which enables music industry and music and sound recording majors to work side by side with leading artists and production professionals.
“The best way to learn something as subjective as what a producer does in a studio, making all the creative choices necessary for an artist to reach his or her creative goals, is by experiencing it,” says Steve Fishell, a Grammy Award-winning producer at Blackbird Studio who works our students.
